This course is designed for coaches, instructors, teachers, supervisors, sports assistants, and volunteers. The course teaches the medical assessment and management of a wide variety of sports injuries. Included in the training are the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of choking for children.
Upon successful completion of the course participants are presented with a Sports First Aid Certificate which is valid for two years.
Course Fee
The course is subsidised by Waterford Sports Partnership for Waterford based coaches & players
– fee payable is €25 per person with a maximum of 12 participants per course.
