Disability Sport

Waterford Sports Partnership launched its Sports Inclusion Disability Project in May 2008. The partnership has a Sports Inclusion Disability Officer (SIDO) to oversee the management of the project whose aim is to increase participation by people with a disability in sport and physical activity.

A key outcome of the project involves the provision of sports programming for people with disabilities in a variety of settings. These include the participation of people with disabilities in sport and physical activity through targeted activities such as Boccia, Walk for Life etc.

Pauline Casey is our Sports Inclusion Disability Officer (SIDO) and works 3 days per week in this role and two days a week in her role as Sports Development Officer with WSP.
