Waterford Sports Partnership (WSP) aims to support the ongoing development of Outdoor Recreation across County Waterford.
We are delighted to launch our 2026 Outdoor Recreation Grant Scheme.
Land-based Activities Clubs & Water-based Activities Clubs located in Co. Waterford are invited to apply for funding for training or equipment that will assist the club to increase participation in their sport.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 20th April.
Successful clubs must agree to delivering a programme (6-week minimum) for WSP over the course of the clubs 2026 season.
This grant scheme aligns with our ongoing commitment to increase opportunities for participants to engage in Outdoor Recreation through clubs in the county. There will be a focus on welcoming new participants and creating sustainable participation pathways within clubs.

- Grant Opens: Monday 23rd March
- Grant Closing: Monday 20th April
- Successful Applicants notified: Thursday 23rd April
- Documents must be sent by: Tuesday 5th May
- 1st payment issued: Friday 8th May
- Funds must be drawn down by 31st August 2026
- 2nd payment issued: 1st week in September (Providing receipts have been sent)
