National Play Day is an annual event organised by the Department of Children, Disability & Equality to promote play and recreation opportunities for children and young people.
The theme for National Play Day 2026 is ‘Play for all’. National Play Day 2026 can take place on any day or on a combination of days between 4th and 12th July (inclusive).
Waterford City & County Council, in partnership with Waterford Sports Partnership (WSP), are inviting applications from Disability Clubs in Waterford for small grants of up to €500 for the purchase of play equipment as part of National Play Day 2026.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 4 p.m. on Friday 10th July 2026
