National Play Day 2020 is taking place on Saturday 4th July with the theme ‘Playful Communities, Playful Homes’. Waterford Sports Partnership in collaboration with Waterford City and County Council are delighted to support this initiative led by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs by offering activity packs and resources to children across Waterford.
The activity packs are FREE and contain fun items to encourage and promote play for all children living in Ireland while adhering to the Government guideline of staying at home during the COVID- 19 emergency. Item’s such as skipping ropes, bubbles, chalk and frisbees will be some of the resources provided. Suitable for all the family to enjoy and be active together!
The activity packs will be distributed by WSP staff at the following locations on Friday 3rd July between 10am and 12pm:
• Cappoquin/Affane GAA Club
• Carrickphierish Community Campus Sports Hub, Gracedieu
• Kilmacthomas Rainbow Hall Community Centre Car Park
• Lismore Heritage Centre
