Disability – What’s On!

⚽ Social Soccer

Wednesday 25th February
Wednesday 25th March
1 – 2pm

Dungarvan Sports Centre

Social Soccer offers something for all participants. Two groups are formed based on the participants’ ability. Those with mild to moderate disabilities take part in a competitive match, while those with moderate to severe disabilities take part in fun activities and games.

PAL’s Training

Wednesday 11th, 18th & 25th February
Wednesday 4th, 11th & 18th March
10:00am – 3:00pm

Dungarvan Sports Centre

Physical Activity Leaders (PALs) are trained to lead members of their own groups or communities in short exercise routines, simple dances, fun games and recreational activities.

Please note:

  • A maximum of 3 participants per group may attend
  • Participants must be available to attend all six sessions

🎳 Ten-Pin Bowling

Tuesday 10th February

11:00 – 11:45am

Activate, Waterford

This inclusive bowling session is designed for adults with a disability and provides a fun, social and supportive environment. A qualified tutor leads the activity, offering step-by-step guidance and adaptable techniques to suit each individual’s needs. Participants can develop confidence, coordination and teamwork skills while enjoying a relaxed, accessible sporting experience.

🏊 Steady Strokes

Four-week programme

Tuesday 3rd, 10th, 24th & 31st March
Two time slots: 11:45am & 12:30pm

Kingfisher Club, Waterford

A 1-to-1 Learn to Swim programme designed especially for adults with a mild disability. The programme provides individualised, supportive swimming lessons to help participants build confidence, learn basic swimming skills and feel safe and comfortable in the water in a relaxed and inclusive environment.
