Waterford Sports Partnership Funding Scheme 2012

Sports Club Participation Grant 2012

This small scale grant scheme aims to increase participation and exercise opportunities for Youth, Disability and those aged over 35 years, whilst also increasing club membership. The grant scheme is open to clubs who are either affiliated to an Irish Sports Council recognised National Governing Body e.g. GAA, FAI etc. or a recognised Disability Organisation. While the scheme is small scale (with a maximum allocation of €400 per club) this grant could make a big impact on the prolonged exercise opportunities for those in the identified target groups. Whilst clubs may apply for grant aid for equipment purchase, referees fees etc, applications that project a positive impact on participation levels for the target groups and, more importantly demonstrate sustainability within the club will have a better chance of being awarded funding. Waterford Sports Partnership wants to support clubs who are keen to increase their membership base with well thought out and innovative programmes. We look forward to receiving applications which can make a positive impact on the target groups identified. The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 4pm on Wednesday, 16th May 2012.
